“Work and play fair.”
Anna is a supply analyst for our Enclosures business segment in Dzierżoniów, Poland. Her role involves analyzing data related to purchases, suppliers, and materials, where she provides essential support to her team by obtaining and processing data and reports. Her analytical skills have been instrumental in streamlining processes and improving decision-making. “What I appreciate most at nVent are new challenges and interesting topics that I can achieve with inspiring people,” Anna noted.
Anna attributes her positive employee experience at nVent to diversity – both in the people she collaborates with and the problems she works hard to solve. Both enable her to expand her knowledge and skills. “Each of them brings something interesting to my work,” she said. One particular project encouraged her to learn advanced Excel tools, which she now uses in her daily work.
Anna resonates deeply with nVent’s values of respect and teamwork. “These values have a real impact on our work and are very important to me,” she explained. “The culture at nVent provides encouragement to be brave in presenting your point of view, because when everyone shares their ideas, a really interesting solution can come out of it.” That is the true value of coming together with teammates.
While Anna has worked professionally in purchasing and sourcing for many years, her first ‘real’ job came in the form of inspiring others to meet new goals as a dive master and a diver guide. With more than 20 years of diving experience, Anna has explored the depths of the world’s oceans, carrying with her a passion that began in her childhood.
“As a little girl, I was interested in underwater life, especially dolphins. I watched all kinds of nature programs, collected posters, and dolphin figurines,” she recalled. Her passion was further ignited when she met her now-husband, who was already diving at that time. Inspired by his enthusiasm, Anna took her first diving course during a vacation in Croatia, and thus began her lifelong adventure.
Her passion eventually led her to Egypt, where she combined her love for diving with work. “The Red Sea has everything I love: warm water, beautiful reefs, lots of underwater animals – from my beloved dolphins, turtles, snails to multi-colored fish, corals, and sharks,” Anna described. “It’s one of the most beautiful roles in my life. I loved watching the broad smiles and delight in people’s eyes right after surfacing. It was great to be part of their unforgettable adventure.”
Anna’s second passion is reading books, and she has found a way to balance her love for diving and reading. Through nVent’s Electrify recognition and reward program, she was able to purchase a book reader, allowing her to carry as many books as possible during her diving trips. “The program is very flexible, everyone can adjust their reward to their own needs,” she elaborated.
Whether she’s diving into data or the sea, Anna continues to stay curious, explore, inspire, and build a brighter future. Her advice to others is succinct yet impactful: work and play fair. Her journey is a testament to the fact that with passion, dedication, and a supportive work environment, one can achieve great heights both personally and professionally.
